George Day

George is a photographer, artist, and activist, with a background in history and philosophy, devoted to documenting social justice and cultural overseas and at home. His previous work includes covering AIDS and domestic violence in Brazil, the preservation of K'iche language in Central America, medical relief efforts, and migration crises. In addition to longterm work documenting political activism at home, he is working on upcoming projects in Turkey and Central Asia. He shoots everything from traditional 8x10 film cameras to 35mm digital, as appropriate.
